What We Offer
Services
Your home should fit how you live — the way light moves through a room in the morning, how the kitchen functions on a busy weeknight, where a hallway needs to breathe. Residential design is the most personal work we do, and we treat it that way.
We work on renovations, additions, and new construction — from a single room that needs rethinking to a complete ground-up build. The scope changes; the process is the same: listen first, design second, document everything.
What this includes
- Space planning and spatial layout
- Architectural drawings and specifications
- Material, finish, and fixture selection
- Lighting design and ceiling plans
- Coordination with contractors and trades
- Procurement support and installation oversight
A well-designed workspace does real work. It shapes how people collaborate, how clients perceive your business, and how efficiently your operations run. Commercial design requires balancing brand expression with practical performance — and we bring the same rigorous process to both.
We serve offices, studios, retail environments, hospitality spaces, and tenant fit-outs. Whether you are fitting out a leased floor or designing a permanent headquarters, we help you build a space that earns its square footage.
What this includes
- Programming and space needs analysis
- Floor plan and circulation design
- Brand environment and material specification
- Millwork, furniture, and fixture selection
- Code-compliant construction documentation
- Contractor coordination and site oversight
Not every design need calls for a full engagement. Sometimes you need a clear-eyed assessment of a space, a sanity check on decisions you're already making, or expert input before you commit to a contractor or a direction.
A design consultation gives you direct access to our expertise for a defined scope: a space review, a material and finish edit, a layout critique, or guidance on what to prioritize in a renovation. You leave with specific, actionable recommendations — not a general impression.
Good for
- Homeowners planning renovations who want expert input before hiring contractors
- Clients partway through a project who need a design review
- Business owners assessing a space before signing a lease
- Anyone making significant finish or furniture decisions
Questions
What clients ask
Here are the questions we hear most often from clients who are new to working with a design studio.
Do I need an architect and an interior designer, or can one studio handle both?
We handle both. Architecture and interior design are deeply connected — the spatial decisions and the material and finish decisions are made together, and handling them as one integrated effort produces better results than coordinating between two separate firms.
What is the difference between design consultation and a full design engagement?
A consultation is bounded: we meet, review your space or plans, and give you specific, actionable recommendations. A full engagement takes a project from concept through construction documentation and installation, with us involved at every phase. Consultations are a good starting point if you are not yet sure what level of support you need.
How involved do I need to be as a client?
As involved as you want to be in the direction, and as hands-off as you like in the execution. We structure our process so that your decisions happen at the right moments — not scattered throughout the project. You will always know what is being decided and when your input is needed.
Do you work outside your immediate area?
We work on residential and commercial projects across the US. Many phases of the design process can be conducted remotely; we discuss site visit requirements as part of the initial consultation.
When should I get a designer involved — before or after selecting a contractor?
Before, whenever possible. A design brief and set of drawings gives contractors something concrete to price against, which means more accurate bids and fewer surprises during construction. Getting us involved early also protects you from decisions that are difficult or expensive to reverse later.
Not sure which service fits your project?
Tell us what you are planning and we will point you in the right direction. There is no commitment in an initial conversation.
